Inglewood gunman shoots 5 family members, killing 2, sets home on fire

Fili Lamas, a 30-year-old father and his 4-year-old son both died in surgery after the 4 a.m. attack incident. His wife, Gloria Jimenez, and two other children were also injured, said Inglewood Police Chief Mark Fronterotta.
Jimenez collapsed on a nearby street holding her dying son. She was able to carry the 4-year-old boy, even though she had been shot in both legs.
The injured children were a 6-year-old boy, who was shot in the pelvis, and a 7-year-old girl, who was shot in the chest. They were listed in critical, but stable condition at a nearby hospital, police said.
An 8-year-old boy was not injured, but was also taken to the hospital for observation.
The suspect, who police identified as Desmond John Moses, was last seen wearing a cap and painter's mask, was believed to still be near the scene of the shooting at a home in the 4900 block of 99th Street, police said.
But what could possibly cause this?
